organic waste collection at mercearia bio café Portimão

EMARP (Municipal Water and Waste Company of Portimão) recently launched a project for the differentiated collection of organic waste, which has in Marafada, an earthworm, its mascot and symbol.Mercearia Bio Café de Portimão has already joined and we are therefore forwarding all the organic waste that we generate in the grocery and cafeteria, to be later composted and sent to the soil as a natural fertilizer.

Although it is a pilot project, it is a very valid initiative that deserves the support of all of us, because this is one of the ways to reduce the waste that goes to the landfill, valuing this organic material that was wasted until now.
We will be looking forward for the extension of this initiative to the entire territory of Portimão and neighboring municipalities.
