japanese green teas tasting

In the Japanese Green teas tasting held in Mercearia Bio Cafe we have learned that in the preparation of this tea the temperature of the water and the infusion time are very important, as they will determine how the tea will taste. Having the right tools helps a lot in the preparation.

We have tasted different teas: cold tea Dashi (done with cold water does not release the theine), Sencha with Erva Princípe from Portugal, Kukicha, Houjicha, Sencha and Genmaicha. All green teas are from Japan, but with different flavours which depend on many factors: if they come from large or small leaves, stalks, first crop or otherwise, if it is roasted, among others.
