sushi workshop
Last Saturday the Organic Grocery invited Sushi4home for an afternoon filled with tips and tricks! To prepare a sushi meal is not a "kid's task", as we have testified with Patrícia and João.
It all starts with the rice grain choice and its cooking point. Patrícia explained us the grain washing process and how we are supposed to cook it. Joâo was the fis man! He has showed us how the fish has to be cut, according to the type of sushi we want to prepare.
After that we have all rolled up our sleeves and put our hands in the rice. With a piece of Nori seaweed in front of us, on top of the bamboo mat, the challenge was to place the rice on the seaweed... Looks like an easy task? It is not! The rice sticks everywhere, but Patrícia and João taught us a small trick and we ended up accomplishing the task! After that we had to roll it all up, to make the delicious rolls we all know.
We have made maki and uramaki rolls. We also tried the nigiri salmon! In the end we ate it all!green card - flakes, granolas and muesli
