our umeboshi is produced in Japan according to the traditional method.
the plum of the ume variety is collected without ripening and stored in salt and shiso leaves for a while. It is the shiso leaves that transmit to the food its characteristic red color. Ideal for cooking with vegetables and cereals.

Ingredients
Japanese plums * (Ume plum) (79%), sea salt, leaves of Shiso * (Perilla frutescens).

Use:
to mash to use as seasoning in the preparation of sauces. To make a drink put in a cup an unseed Umeboshi amexia and a Shoyu spoon and add a cup of hot Kukicha.
