Description Beautiful Light Bio Thyme Essential Oil
In antiquity, the Egyptians used thyme to embalm, the Greeks to prevent contagious diseases and the Romans to gain bravery. Modern aromatherapy recognizes its germicidal, pulmonary and self-confidence properties. The beautiful-light thyme is a species of thyme that only occurs in the Iberian peninsula, being common in Portugal.

How to use it?
In a diffuser with water or wooden balls: By placing just a few drops in a diffuser with water or wooden balls, the essential oil releases an extraordinarily fresh and pleasant aroma, with a strong air disinfectant and insect repellent.
Inhalations (pure or with water vapor): It has bronchial, expectorant and antispasmodic action, being used in the treatment of respiratory diseases (sinusitis, bronchitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis) and in the relief of productive cough. Strengthens the immune system, preventing respiratory infections.
By ingestion: By ingesting the essential oil (2 drops in a small spoon of honey; 1 to 3 drops in a cup with hot water, 2 times a day, after meals) has similar effects to inhalations, in addition to helping with digestion; eliminate toxins and intestinal parasites; reduce excess weight; stimulate hormonal production (estrogens), regularizing the menstrual cycle and delaying the onset of menopause.
In massage: Diluted (5%; approx. 100 drops) in a vegetable oil (100 ml) and applied in massage, it has a calming and sedative effect on rheumatic pains, warms and relaxes the muscular system. Externally, due to its bactericidal and fungicidal properties, it is used to treat skin infections (mycoses), genital infections (candidiasis), eczema and acne. In natural cosmetics: Diluted in vegetable oil, lotions and creams to clean normal and oily skin; added to shampoos to stimulate hair growth and strengthening; used to perfume soaps. In gargling or mouthwash, it disinfects the mouth and eliminates bad breath.
In the immersion bath: A few drops in the immersion bath give courage to reach your goals and restore your spirits in adversity and in moments of emotional stress.
