The delivery of the orders is made through a Partner Company operating in the logistics area and home deliveries.

Deliveries nationwide are made on Thursday or Friday from 9am to 6pm.

In Madeira and Azores deliveries are done on the week after the order has been placed.

There is a minimum order amount of €29,90, for continental Portugal and €75,00 for the Azores and Madeira orders.

Payment can be made by Multibanco, through a reference generated for each invoice we issue and send out, or in cash upon delivery. To know more about the payment methods we take, please check out payment

Nationwide

For deliveries Nationwide (Portugal mainland) the delivery tax is €5,50, for orders weighing up to 10kgs, without refrigerated items. Orders over the mentioned weight we will charge €2,50 per each additional 1-10 kgs.

For orders with the option refrigerated delivery, the delivery tax ranges from €12,95 to €15,95 up to 10kgs, depending on the delivery area. Orders weighing over 10kgs we will charge an extra €2,95 per each additional 1-5 kgs.

The deliveries of the orders placed, preferably, until Tuesday at 7pm take place on Thursday or Friday on the same week, between 9am and 6pm.

We also have a delivery service available on Saturdays until 1 PM for orders placed by 7 PM on Thursdays. The delivery fee is €9.95 for orders weighing up to 10 kg, excluding refrigerated products. Above this weight, we will charge €2.50 for each additional 1-10 kg. There are some geographical areas where this service is not available.

These delivery taxes are inclusive of VAT.

Delivery in Pick Up Point

Delivery with collection at the nearest Pick Up Point is available for the Mainland and is subject to a delivery tax of €4,95, for orders weighing up to 10 kg, which do not include refrigerated products. Above this weight we will charge €0,60 for each additional kilogram.

For this delivery option, we select the Pick Up point closest to the delivery address provided by the Customer.  The delivery company will send a text message (SMS) as soon as the order is available for pick up.

Madeira and Azores

For the islands the Organic Grocery has available a home delivery service, for the moment only for products without refrigeration.

The delivery tax for the islands is €19,95 up to 10 kg and €9,95 for each additional 1-10kgs.

There is a minimum order amount of € 75,00.

Orders should be placed, preferably, till Tuesday at 7pm, and the delivery will be done on the week after, on a day to confirm.

In-store Pick Up

Mercearia Bio also offers the option of picking up your order in store, at Mercearia Bio Café in Lagos.

Orders must preferably be sent by 7pm on Wednesday.

There is no minimum order and product prices will be the prices in effect in the online store on the date of order confirmation.

The delivery tax is €2.95.

Orders placed before 7pm on Wednesday can be collected on Friday of the same week, from 12pm onwards. Whenever it is possible we can prepare the order in advance, the collection date will be informed by email.

Orders Weight Information

The weight of orders is calculated after the orders are prepared and ready for shipping.

To calculate the delivery fee, in addition to the products, all boxes and materials necessary for the proper packaging of orders are taken into account.

Delivery on Weeks with Public Holidays

On the weeks we have national public holidays falling on week days, Monday to Friday, there may occur changes in the delivery days, as most companies do not deliver on public holidays, as it happens on Saturdays and Sundays.

We normally have delays in the reception of Mercearia Bio foods and other goods and delays may also occur with the eventual change of the programmed and confirmed day for the delivery of the order.

Our compromise with our Customers is to keep you updated on any such changes.
